I love xiu xiu & I read devotedly & unfailingly William Bower's Puritan Blister installments on Pitchfork. #44 is provocative & poignant. Please read it and if you care to share, send me some lines about the column.

I'm enjoying the time off. finished Bolano's Savage Detectives. Wrote some. Grilled. The headphones clamp into my consciousness

As this hand makes typing sounds the sounds that are "typing" are typing to the brooding joys of the Danger Mouse Sparklehorse collaboration. The new music was to be accompanied by a book of photos taken by David Lynch. Maybe? maybe not? O the legal hassles, & O the crestfallen. The songs on Dark Night of the Soul were written by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, but feature a different singer on each track.
